They hit me like a freight train and caused me to hesitate when I needed to act. I managed to kill the poor rabbit, but the resulting meat had a bit of an aftertaste (probably due to adrenaline from my botched dispatch).
I felt horrible that the rabbit suffered due to my inexperience. It took days for the feeling of trauma to diminish.
